Five Huts

You'll visit five of the most celebrated huts on the mountain. The first stop will be Sphinx Rock for some bird watching before visiting a number of huts including a rest at Junction Cabin with a BBQ lunch at the Chalet. After lunch the group will return to the Springs along the amazing Organ Pipes track, one of the great short walks of Tasmania.

Explore the Southern Stars

This tour incorporates expert guidance from the Astronomical Society of Tasmania. We will be guided around the night sky, starting with the Moon and our solar system. We should be able to look at other planets through a telescope. Then we’ll look further out to the milky way and into deep space.

Sea to Summit

Challenge yourself to this full day iconic walk. Dip your toe in the Derwent River and finish at the pinnacle of kunanyi / Mt Wellington 1271 meters above sea level. The trails will follow in Charles Darwin’s footsteps, taking in the full range of natural and cultural wonders that hide among the mountain slopes. Not one for the faint of heart – epic, challenging, but oh what a great achievement.

In Darwin's Footsteps

Retracing the footsteps of Sir Charles Darwin’s climb of kunanyi / Mt Wellington, this tour is a series of easy short walks visiting the most loved spots on the mountain. Soak up the view, learn about the giant ferns and the mountain's significant role in Darwin's theory of evolution.
